Excelencia Report Examines How San Antonio Reimagined Financial Aid to Improve Attainment

In 2010, San Antonio leaders established a goal that by 2020 50 percent of the adult population would have a college credential. In 2011, community leaders initiated efforts to boost the attainment rates of Latino adults in particular. Those efforts determined that financial aid posed a significant challenge for many students and that rethinking the financial aid process could help boost attainment.
