It’s very important to engage your faculty staff, administrators, and students as much as possible when you’re looking to build the capacity for a prior learning assessment (PLA) policy. Everyone needs to be involved, have a stake in its development, and be a champion for your PLA policy. Get support from your higher education central office, from your campus leaders, from your governing board, from your governor and/or lawmakers. Engage your student advocates, and also make sure you engage your workforce. ”
